The short courses will be held on, 13th, July just
before the NASLIBS 2009 symposium.
The short courses are intended to give an overview of the basics of LIBS
(laser-matter interaction, plasma formation and expansion, emission
spectroscopy), the instrumentation (laser sources, spectrometers,
detectors) and the applications. The target group are potential
end-users from industry, beginners and students, who want to get an
insight in the state of the art of LIBS and the various applications.
This year, a special focus will be done on the aspect of the
quantitative analysis.
The short courses will be presented by well-known experts in the
field of LIBS.
Each participant will receive a handout with the printed slides of the
presentations.
