The NASLIBS symposium will be organized in North America every two years will be dedicated to the developments and applications of Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS).

1st NASLIBS 2007 will be held from October 8-10, 2007 in New Orleans, USA.

The central topic of this symposium, “LIBS: from the Lab to Dual-Use Applications”, aims at emphasizing the contribution of fundamental knowledge to the analytical and instrumental control of LIBS. It is organized by Mississippi State University, in collaboration with the United States Army Research Laboratory and is iimplied involvement in research and development on LIBS

Approximately 125 participants, both from research laboratories and the industry are expected at the conference.

A technical exhibition at the symposium place will present new developments in LIBS instrumentation and related products. It will be held from 8-10 of October, 2007. The exhibition will be located in the same area as the coffee breaks, next to main hall, and will offer excellent visibility and discussions opportunities
